Foundayo Tablet UK covers one medicine: Foundayo (orforglipron), Eli Lilly's once-daily GLP-1 weight-loss tablet. It sets out what the UK label and the published trials say, and it is clear about what is not yet settled.
Why a whole site on one tablet
Foundayo is new to the UK. The MHRA licensed it on 10 August 2026; it is available by private prescription only and not on the NHS, and NICE guidance is provisionally expected on 27 January 2027. With a medicine this recent, the practical questions (how it is taken, how the dose builds up, what the trials showed, how it compares with the injections) are worth answering carefully and in one place.
The evidence behind each page
- The UK Summary of Product Characteristics and patient information leaflet, published on the electronic Medicines Compendium.
- The MHRA's authorisation announcement, NICE's appraisal page and NHS guidance.
- The published ATTAIN trial papers, with ACHIEVE results taken from the UK Summary of Product Characteristics.
The trials tested capsules at doses that do not match the UK tablet strengths milligram for milligram. The dosage page and the article on trial results explain how the two line up.
Keeping up with a moving status
Availability is the part most likely to change: a NICE decision, NHS access, new label information. The UK availability page follows the licence, private prescription and NHS position, and every page shows the date it was published, reviewed or last updated.
The guide, page by page
- Foundayo explained: what the tablet is, how it works, the trial results and its UK status.
- Dosage and strengths: the six tablet strengths from 0.8mg to 17.2mg and how the dose is stepped up.
- Side effects: ATTAIN-1 trial frequencies, serious risks and who should not take it.
- How it was developed: from the Chugai discovery to Lilly's licence, the ATTAIN trials and the approvals.
- UK availability: the MHRA licence, private prescription and NHS and NICE status.
- The FAQ and the articles, which each take one question further.
Independent of Eli Lilly
Foundayo Tablet UK is written by its own editorial team and has no link of any kind with Eli Lilly and Company. It does not state prices, does not sell, supply, prescribe or dispense medicines, and does not link to any provider of them. Where manufacturer or regulator pages are cited, it is for label information only.
A prescriber decides
Foundayo is a prescription-only medicine, and whether it suits you is a decision for a qualified prescriber, not this website. Nothing here is medical advice or an encouragement to use any medicine. Any site offering "Foundayo" without a consultation and a prescription from a qualified prescriber is operating outside UK medicines law. If you have side effects, report them through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme and speak to your GP or pharmacist.
